Welcome Pablo Alvarez, new director of R&D
Lallemand Specialty Cultures is thrilled to announce the appointment of Pablo Alvarez as the new Director of Research and Development (R&D). Pablo will assume the role following Patrice Laforce, who is set to join our sister business unit Lallemand Oenology in the upcoming weeks. 🔬
With a Ph.D. in molecular microbiology from the Dairy Products Institute of Asturias, Pablo brings extensive 16 years of R&D experience in the agri-food sector. His specialized knowledge in food microbiology, with a focus on dairy products and cheese-making technologies, has been refined through roles at Soredab-Savencia and, more recently, Sodiaal. Equipped with skills in team management, program coordination, and research partnership oversight, Pablo is well-prepared to guide our R&D teams, programs, and external relations towards continued growth. Additionally, we bid farewell to Patrice Laforce, who has been a valued member of Lallemand Specialty Cultures for the past 11 years. 🧬🧪
